mundine running from bika

THE executive producer of the hugely popular reality TV boxing show The Contender has launched a scorching attack on Anthony Mundine, claiming he must be "running scared" because he won't take on fellow Australian Sakio Bika.
"Let's see if he has the balls to fight Sakio," Jeff Wald barked down the line from Los Angeles.
"Mundine's so loved down there, isn't he? They love to hate him. And I can see why. He's not a champion because he hasn't beaten anyone.
"A real champion is someone who fights and beats the best. He calls himself the Man. A real man would fight Sakio."
Bika won the third series of The Contender in 2007 and since then has claimed the IBO super-middleweight belt but is itching for a stink against Mundine.
Wald says he has been trying to set up a bout via Mundine's manager, Khoder Nasser, but with no luck.
"I've been trying two years to set something us but he keeps making excuses," Wald said.
Nasser was bewildered when we contacted him yesterday.
"When has he spoken to us?" Nasser said.
"I haven't seen any proposal from him at all. And Sakio has been at several of Choc's fights. He's had plenty of opportunities to say he wanted to fight."
