Mayweather is ace, the interview is very poor. Rather than changing his tactic, or changing his question, he just asks the same thing. I reckon if the interviewer played along with him a bit, Mayweather wouldn't have taken the piss so much.

Mayweather's been watching Ric Flair promo's. I remember on the Flair DVD, there was an interview where Flair just started random showing off with his suit "Custom made for the champ" and his rolex etc. Ric Flair was the first bling king lol.

I love how one of the most uncharismatic champions in boxing history genuinely believes he's charismatic. It's really, really cringe-worthy. The only thing more painful than watching Floyd Mayweather try to be funny is watching his cronies and Ellerbe hanging desperately to his coattails.

The reporter asked him a question he didn't want to answer (twice.) He was just playing the clown to avoid answering the question.

I can't understand what kept the man, who I believe, is an estabished journo, stood there for a full 2 minutes I'd have walked off an let him ramble.

I don't disagree Mayweather puts on an act and okay it's mildly amusing for about 30 seconds but the interviewer clearly wasn't there just for that?? If he was then it was a bit of a botched job. So get on with whatever you're there for in the first place instead of running after people trying to obtain some kind of scoop with a string of predictable questions betting made to luck a bit stupid.
I bet he's got an hour of that dirge with various sports people on film.

I was in the cinema, having spent £6.60 on a ticket, and there was a series of adverts for... the BBC.

Not only had I paid for the priviledge of watching them, as a licence payer I also paid for them to be made in the first place.

Mihir Bose is the f*cking BBC top man...not quite sure how that came about. He needs to get back to asking questions to Sachin Tendulkar. Actually, Mihir is a bit of an old school investigator and not used to being treated with such levity. If he knew what was what, he should have given up on Titty Boy Floyd and asked Ellerbe a question. He won't have known who the f*ck he was though...should have sent me out there!

Mayweather probably thought he was being funny, but he just looked like a idiot.

I'd like to see Avid Merriam of Bo Selecta / Keith Lemon fame do the job. They could just talk for ten minutes. They'd both think they were being clever to the other guy. Mayweather's left hook might be the decisive factor.

He wants so much to be seen as sharp, witty, funny............ the problem is he tries to hard, far to hard. He ends up comming across as a 'wannabe' something......... bad ass gangster? the second coming of Muhammad Ali? who knows, probably depends on what day of the week it is. The man needs to grow the fcuk up.

I think he's afraid of defeat and is likely, in part, the reason why he's gone into hiding (sorry, retirement) now. That ego of his just could'nt take a loss!

joking aside, I'm totally with Mayweather on this. Why should he be obliged to give a serious answer to a pretty silly question-

"So, boxer who has retired, are you interested in coming out of retirement to rematch with a guy whom you easily outclassed last time?"

Imagine if when Joe Calzaghe retires an American TV person comes up to him and asks (three times) if he is going to rematch Jeff Lacy.
