Yep it's a typical allegedly card with his prospects again put in low risk affairs, however I may watch it as I usually have nothing better to do!

I like to consider myself a reasonably keen boxing fan. I've watched grainy streams of 115lb fights, paid money for Hopkins on PPV's in Setanta's early days, shelled out money for live shows, etc. Chances are, I'll miss this, due to more important commitments. Is it wrong that Sky's output on a Friday has been, for me, awful? I honestly haven't felt the need to watch any of it live. I've nothing against lesser-known fighters battling it out, in nfact, that can be a great night, but Friday nights are just dreadful right now, as far as I can tell.

These type of cards are the reasn I cancelled SKY Sports!

Yes FFN used to be unmissable, mostly well matched fights. Now if I watch these kind of mismatches at all it is on X30 sky + fast forward until the inevitable KO.

The Cleverley fight shouldnt be that bad but it isnt exactly an exciting fight in prospect. Francis/Vegas interests me more and should be quite interesting to see. FFN has been very weak of late with the Sky team doing all they can to big up sub standard shows. They used to be very good at one time and I really looked forward to Friday nights.

Yeah, the quality isn't great on this card. I am very interested to see Deano though and Jamie Cox get another outing. Cleverly looks promising but you can't tell a huge amount unless the African import is atypical, Munyai type fare.

However...I do think it's good that they have something on almost every week. I'd rather watch one or two interesting fights a week than four on the same bill every two months...but yes, the quality is lacking here.

Would be top viewing if it was Francis v Cleverly.

The interest has really dipped in Sky boxing since SN has wormed it's way back in with Sky.

Too much more of this and cancelling SkySports will be the only option.

It reminds me of watching SkySports prior to SN leaving for ITV in 2005/2006 ??? SN really lowered the standards back then, but SkySports suddenly improved when SN buggered off to ITV, now we seem to be in the same place again.

Thankfully ITV are better than they have been for years and years and Setanta continue to put on exciting matchups that SN cannot even hope to match.

Completely agree (though I want to make it clear for defamation purposes that the bit I don't agree with, ahem, is SN lowering standards 8) ). As I've said elsewhere I was told categorically by a Sky insider that they had zero intention of going back with SN/FW...I was amazed when they did so.

Do you think that because Cleverly (and probably Brook for that matter) have won belts and beaten a good opponent that Frank feels they can headline shows but is still nervous about their lack of experience when it comes to matching them? SN don't have as many headliners as before but is matching Cleverly against these African imports the best way to build his fanbase or prepare him for a probably fight against Francis?

I'm on this bill now against Ben Harding who I drew with in our first fight. He was matched up against someone else but that has obviously fallen through and I got the call this morning. So that's at least one 50/50 match up on the bill. If I were anybody round here I'd go and watch Oliver's show then get home just in time for the under card fights on Friday fight night. No guarantee they will show my fight but I hope they do.
