of them getting outbid by Setanta on each individual fight, or have Setanta got a deal with the big American broadcasters? How does it all work? Should know, but I don't. Cheers.

But if Sky really, really wanted these Top Rank or Sauerland fights, I'd imagine they could easily outbid Setanta and get the TV rights. This was shown with the Premier League Football rights recently.

But I don't think Sky are too keen on forking out for the big US world title fights at the moment, and seem to be fairly happy keeping to a mainly domestic scene, with their deals with allegedly, Frank Maloney and Barry Hearn sourcing that. Obviously they've got the deal with Hatton promotions which covers his big fights, and the likes of Enzo and Nicky Cook's world title tilts with Warren.

I guess at the moment they don't feel it would be worthwhile splashing the cash for the US fights.

apart from top rank , golden boy are the other big promoters. sky seem to have some sort of deal with them but they seem to only show hatton and de la hoya fighting. without setanta we would have no us boxing. the amount of us boxing we are missing out on is a joke. the campbell bill and the marquez - diaz in a couple of weeks look like they are not going to be shown live. and if setanta cant show cotto v jennings , will sky bother showing it. sky always used to show berto fighting. they showed him winning the title. then he had a big fight with callazo and suddenly they dont bother with him anymore. if we cant get live coverage would it be possible to get delayed coverage the next day or a couple of days later. eurosport are showing better boxing than sky - the problem is it is 2 months late.

Correct.
But if it's earning for Setanta, why wouldn't Sky want the fights?
