I see he fought and won via KO on the Cruz IBF feather titlle bill undercard in France tonight against an ex Amir Khan opponent. I may be wrong but I'm sure that one of the reasons he hadn't fought in the last 4-5 years is because is because a random scan showed he had liaisons on his brain or something like that. I definitely remember that it was pretty final whatever the medical reason was.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

He was diagnosed with a cyst on the brain. so i don't know if this can get better??

Maybe he had the same person doing a scan for him as MAB!!

wayne the pocket rocket had a cyst on the brain, he was cleared to fight again. im led to believe MAB has a metal plate in his head !!

Freaky, I was only thinking of him the other day and the demolition job Mayweather did on him.

I would expect that sort of defeat would take a lot of getting over. Floyd took him apart bit by bit .

I just think its shocking that one minute your not fit to fight due to a brain injury then a few years down the line everything is fine and dandy. We're seeing too much of this nowadays. I think its a scandal that the likes of McCullough, N'Dou, Barrera, Valero and Messi have been so will-nilly allowed back into the ring. I mean your either fit to fight or your not. Unfortunately Phillip's nickname of 'Time Bomb' could be disturbingly apt in this instance.

I do share you concern.... I was a huge fan, and think he could be a very interesting addition to the world scene - maybe at 140 lbs... but yes, its a worry.

Thats was the 1st time i'd seen PBF fight, that ko was quality, 3 right hands through the guard of N'Dou.

Well in the case of McCullough it was a case that the doctors simply fucked up and created situation that shouldn't of happened.
McCullough has apparently had the cyst since birth and is actually under no more threat than any other boxer due to it's size/position/etc.
I'd rather not see McCullough fight and with his age and style(aswell as past fights) he is actually under more threat than other fighters however medically he's fit to fight as any boxer.

.....you can go and seek various doctor's opinions, and they aren't all gonna be in agreement......much like Edwin Valero, Ndou is probably restricted in where he fights based on what rules/doctor the respective commission decide to follow
