7th March - Pele Reid's farewell fight against Dave Ingleby at a new venue in Hockley (I think Dennis Hobson might be the promoter for this event?)

14th March - The Battle of Brum Elcock v Macklin.

To think for years no major promoter would touch the second city with a barge pole; it was down to small hall stalwarts such as Pat Cowdell, Errol Johnson, PJ Rowson, Dave Bradley and the like to keep keep the sport ticking over whilst the big boys ignored the West Mids.

Yeah, I was thinking that too- there is a good bit of boxing on in the Midlands at the moment.

Slightly unlucky that the Battle of Brum clashes with Khans tear up, otherwise I would have gone to that.

Gutted i'm in Prague on the 14th , would have gone to see that bout, my moneys on Macklin, i followed him as an Amature as i knew his trainer.

Oh well i guess i'll have to settle for a soapy tit wank instead.
