The top 100 is in some sort of order,places 100-200 is difficult to categorize and places 200-400 is virtually impossible to rank in order. I admit the lower down the list the less effort has gone into ranking the boxers, if i am missing somebody or i have a 'doubler' or there a rankings that are clearly wrong, let me know and i will change them, all comments welcome.
Resources used was Box Rec, the International Boxing Research Organization lists and Rings annual rankings lists, to try and minimise the chance of leaving boxers off the list that belong on it.

I applaud your effort.

One glance and the biggest thing to me was McGuigan being above Pedroza and Fenech...

I'd place Monzon above Hagler...

I dont agree with any heavyweight being inside the top 10.

i dont agree with pavlik and jermain taylor being on the list

Well done on managing to compile such a list.

However, the list being the size that it is, there are obviously some bad choices.

The one that stands out to me is Lennox Lewis coming No39, Kostya Tszyu No271. To me these are two fighters whose accomplishments are just about equal, Lewis having a slight edge by rematching and defeating his two conquerors. Lewis (who is actually my favourite heavyweight) is too high, and Tszyu is too low.

I honestly could not do such an exhaustive list, as I would find it very difficult to place who in what order.

I applaud your great effort, Trampie, and, of course, I can't to say you what is the number of each fighter in the ratings: it is absolutely subjective

That's what makes SRRobinson so great as he was the first little fella who got heavy publicity and fame.

What I find interesting is Wlad ranked 365th with only Olin Norris and JJBraddock below him. That simply ain't right. He's definitely made the top 20 heavies and arguably his brother too with his record setting performance against Peter. The list currently has at least 25 heavies ranked over him and at least a dozen or more lower weights who made notable forays into the heavy division.

Miske, Black Bill, Bivins, McVea, guys like that are no where near their class and accomplishments. Plug the brothers into any era and that's gonna be a major load on the era regardless of how storied it may be. They're already the best brothers in heavy history also by a long shot.

..yes, it is a great effort. the only thing i object to is the assumption that there ARE 400 all-time greats.

brilliant list, but i think you scuffed it up at the end with pavlik on it(i dont hate the kid i just think he is one dimensional and not proven yet)

Tremendous effort. Obviously a lot of thought went into this. It took me awhile to thumb through it all and think about where fighters are ranked. As mentioned by others, no two people will have the same opinion on something this extensive. I am in basic agreement with where about 90% of the fighters were ranked.

I would cut out Hatton, Black Bill, Orlin Norris, and Jess Willard entirely.

Fighters who were left out completely that certainly should be in there: Marvin Johnson, Bobby Chacon, Cornileus Boza-Edwards, Rafael Limon, and Mike McTigue. Musthapha Muhammad should be in the top 200.
Maybe I missed them because the list was so long.

I hope this doesn't sound over critical. Again, I agree with almost 90% of the list. I also agree that the farther out you get, the harder it is to rank fighters. There isn't much difference between #200 and #225.

I liked some picks of guys you don't hear much about like Peter Kane,(120) and Luis Rodriguez.(59)

Congratulations on compiling a fascinating list. Every boxing fan on the planet would have different ideas. Iv'e been following the fight game since Louis v Farr, but I could never have attempted anything like this. Brilliant selection.
