being welcomed, i like, mark and Co, are old skool
fight fans.
Iv'e followed this great game for just over 30 years
now, and there has been some great nights to remember
whether it was on tv or live at shows.
Too many to mention, lot's of fav fighters
but matthew saad muhammad (Matt franklin)
was the ultimate warrior, if you haven't seen his
fights make sure get a look.

I was on dogpoundboxing for around 15 months and initially enjoyed the site. I fisrt went on boxing chat and then realised the place resembled a bar room brawl ina Texan ale house and so sought some relative tranquility over on the UK section. Met some great posters on that section and quite a few have joined the exodus i can see I know BigMark well, by running the soon to be defunct prediction league with him, RockyMarshmellow, Woodyyyaaaa, Saad, Dazzler, Banjo, Spidatrap, Stevieb and the Hitamn. All food guys and knowledgable posters, who i think will bring a great deal to this forum.

Dogpound has a lot of issues to solve, including the pop-ups, spyware entering your comp etc etc. The layout is old and tired and it's in general need of a make over and the powers that be don't want to change anything, hence it's gradual decline and exodus of former posters. I cam onto Boxrec abouta month ago and have been really impressed with the place. Got a nice welcome off Asterix and have got to know Twenty-Six a little and it feels like a forum with good people who know their boxing and seem to be very knowledagble and willing to debate at length....Which is great !!

I feel that more people will join us from Dogpound as time goes by and i'm lookinmg forward to debating and getting to know the guys i here. My favourite fighter would have to be Tommy Hearns and my most exciting fighter would have to be Mike Tyson in the early days. I loved Roy Jones Jr at his peak, loved all the Leonard, Hagler, Duran and Herans fights. I can go back to watching John Conteh and Alan Minter as a kid, throught to Barry MgGuigan, Lyold Honeyghan, Bruno, Benn, Watson, Eubank and then Calzaghe. My favourite fighter fro the UK was Naseem Hamed, just for the sheer excitement and spectacle....
