Just read on boxrec sams fighting at the melbourne showgrounds on april 18th but no opponent listed yet. Wonder who he could be up against cause sam doesnt take on no namers. Any thoughts on a potential opponent? It looks like a pretty decent card aswell.

Yeah i seen this scrolling through the boxrec schedule.

There will be no Mundine 4 according to Stuart Duncan in an interview in fist magazine.

Hope he fights one of the more promising fighters in Australia, hopefully Pittman.

Maybe Hamden at Supermiddie.

BTW
Soliman vs. TBA is the main event, but 'cos Colomban's fight was already in the system and they're both 12 rounds I couldn't get them in correct order. This also applies to the undercard

Maybe Grange Old School, Brian Amatruda & Barry Michael had reached an agreement, hence change of date - April 4 to April 18 :?? Wink, wink 8)

Grange had been allocated 6 Fox Sports & 3 Main Event ppv shows this year - not all necessarily in NSW

Co-Promoter Brian Amatruda informed me he'll release ticket details in a day or two. At this stage they already got 1000 bookings. This time they'll also have General Admission (Stand up) available
They've got option on 5 rooms between 1,500 - 10,000 & even 28,000 capacity within the Showgrounds. Atm, 2,500 will suffice.

Looks like Sam is planning a couple of fights in Australia, great news, lets hope Fox sports televise his cards, as the cards don't look that bad.

is that because Fox has already committed to the number of shows it will televise for the year? Why doesn't ten's new hd channel put it's hand up for it? they should be chasing local high quality sport like this. i bet the rights would not be that expensive. the promoter should consider any income from tv rights better than no income.

Plus it gives his shows / fighters more exposure which can only lead to bigger and better things :TU:

Still probably won't happen though...
