So, is anybody from here going? It'll be my first Boxing show ever, in preparation for Khan v Barrera on March 14th and it looks a pretty solid night of Boxing. Two Commonwealth title fights, English title fight and the debut of the Olympians. At £30 for a lower tier ticket its not too bad. Live on Sky Sports 1 at 10pm

at least if youre going you will get to see all the action. the sky show is only 2 hours and if skelton rogan goes the distance and the olympians. the sky viewers might not get to see much of broadhurst or bendall v mcdermott (if any of it). its the first half decent domestic card in a while and yet sky viewers will miss 2 fights possibly that would have been as good as most other friday fight nights this year.

Thats what I was thinking. Looking at the attractions on the card (to be frank most of the tickets will come from interest of seeing the Olympians debuts) I expected Sky's show to be three hours.

They are only promising Skelton v Rogan and the Olympians live, and if they all go the distance it's going to be a tight squeeze to fit all that in to two hours.

At a guess, Skelton v Rogan will go on last at the NIA around 10.05 and then sky will show the edited highlights of the Olympians afterwards which would just about fit (entrances cut out etc.) in two hours.

Unless they go all out and overrun the show, I can't see the TV viewers getting the Broadhurst or English title fights.

Really hope we get to see Smith !!!

Its a good card and good value from SN - I will be there.

Nice to see 3 Brummies on the card, along with the Black Country Body Snatcher McDermott.

It will be good to see Swifty Smith again; he is a cracking prospect and BJ Saunders could prove, alongside Frankie, to be the best of the Olympic crop.

All in all a good night at the fights. Well done to Warren and his cronies for putting this on in Brum

I'll be there supporting the Brummie lads and the Olympians. Went to meet Woodhall and Broadhurst yesterday. Don looked very sharp in the gym. Also been in touch with Frankie Gavin, he doesn't know much about his Georgian opponent given that there's no video footage of him but he does know that the guy has never been stopped (in 8 fights).

Should be a cracking night for the Midlands

Yup, I pointed that out to Frankie

It looks like DeGale has the best opponent, although all 3 seem terrible. Saunders should KO Molnar very quickly.

I'd expect quick KOs from all 3 really. I want to watch Skelton vs Rogan as well. Interesting match up.

It isn't a good card in my opinion, far from it really.

Ok £30 quid for an evenings boxing is fair enough - but it is reflected in the quality of the card.

NIA arena is quite big, so £30 tickets might not be the best view. Whatever, anyway! thats the ones I went for.

£30 got me the lower tier. Its a fairly flat lower tier, but it is still considerably raised above the floor.

Just got off the phone with my dad, who works at the NEC usually, and occasionally at the NIA.

He says that a limited number of tickets were made available to staff today at only £2 each, but they were snapped up very quickly. Gotta presume that ticket sales are wayyyyyyyyyyy down for this event.

Also, instead of the 5.30 doors/6.00 start thats advertised on the tickets, its now doors at 6.30 and first fight at 7.45. Gotta presume by that there are less fights scheduled than were first planned.

Yeah- you can search ticket sites and see what is left etc.

Not really- could just be they are fitting round TV. My guess is that they are hoping to get the Olympians on TV and Rogan V Skelton, possibly Broadhurst too. That just leaves Bendall and two other undercard bouts, which obviously would not fill the three hours before TV starts.

Boxing bills are messed with all the time to accomadate the needs of TV - in this instance it is nice that they have told us!
