Hey all. Don't see a thread on this but apolgies if I missed it. Anyone know what's happening with Kenny Egan, the silver medallist from Beijing? To gvie a summary, Ireland fought (and beat) an American team in Dublin on Friday and are to fight them again tonight in Kildare. Kenny was supposed to fight on Friday but he didn't show up to weigh in on Thursday, nor was he seen at the fight on Friday. He also cancelled an appearance on a chat show here last night (he was due on to promote the Peters card on March 21st). There's been some unusual updates on his twitter but otherwise...nothing.

Rumour I heard about 20 mins ago and its only a rumour,

Egan doesn't know what to do, some are saying the Ama's are off the Dunne bill and therefore a bit pised off. He has had Pro offers but nothing like the other guys 1.5M etc. The person I spoke to suggested that he has taken himslef offside and posted these odd pics and comments on twitter to try to force a few hands and up his PR crediot etc and possibly get a few more offers for a Pro deal. If the can get a better deal Pro than he currently has Ama he would seriously consider flipping over to the paid ranks.
