After Jon had knocked him down and the french kid spat his gumshield out, should the ref let the fight go on(the french kid was gone) and took the point away when there was a lull in the action or did what he done and robbed Jon a stoppage win(in my opinion)........what do you guys think

You miss understood......i didnt mean stop the fight because he spat it out i ment the fight should have continued after the gumshield had beed put back in then Jon could have stopped him rarther than take a point off so the French kid could by some more time the ref could have waited for a pause in the action or till the end of the round

No.

The French lad played the game and bought valuable seconds. He got the point deduction and that was fair enough in my book.

Well I backed JT at 28/1 £15) to win in the first round, but I'm not bitter. The fella did the smart thing.

I think that the ref should have a water bottle attached to the outside of the neutral corner post, that way if a boxer spits out his gumshield then the ref doesn't have to take the boxer to his own trainer, who will always take a while to wash and replace the gumshield.
the ref could take him directly to the neutral corner , wash and replace the gumshield quickly. It may save a few seconds, which could change a fight.

any thought?

I actually thought that he should have been disqualified. The key difference between this and Chico's fight is that in this fight the gumshield came out after the guy took his feet, and as such I would argue it was clear gamesmanship.
