Wish the clip had included the interview he was complaining about, but I think I know what he means and I'm glad he is able to say it. I remember Steve Holdworth being at least as rude about Dave Bontempo. He went off on a huge rant about how he knew nothing about boxing.

I'm wondering how Bunce knows how much Kellerman is paid? There might be a little jealousy involved here, but generally I think he made good points about interviewing boxers in the ring. Bunce certainly knows how to interview them himself.

Fairly spot on I reckon. Not sure about the jealousy theory. If anything, maybe it's due to the fact that Kellerman possibly didn't work his way up through years of doing small hall shows like Bunce did.

I firmly believe that Steve Bunce and Don King are actually the same person. Have you ever seen them in the same room together? They're both the same size - Bunce just employs a cunning disguise when doing his King routine. If you grab Bunce's bag off him, you'll find a large black/grey wig in it and lots of unfeasable jewellery.

I'm not sure about the jealousy thing either, but Bunce gives the impression of someone who's slightly bitter because he feels he's been rejected by the "mainstream" and skulks in a sporting ghetto.

Yeah I can understand that, though I think its probably for the bets he isn’t right in the mainstream, I’m not quite sure how much of his comments he would get away with somewhere else.

The entire HBO team is shit, Lampley and Kellerman are just typical American cheerleaders and Merchant takes about half an hour to make a point and usually wanders off on some cliched garble.

Any of the British broadcast teams piss all over that rubbish.

That’s it, for me the appeal of Buncey is that he pulls no punches, I’m not sure how enjoyable his ridiculously quick rants would be if they were forced to e purely positive. No one wants to see him censored.

No they don't. The HBO team are fairly decent, especially when Steward is the third man and the Showtime team are the best in the business.

Jim Watt going from one extreme to the other is annoying as it comes. Then you've got Duke and John Rawling on ITV who leave a lot ot be desired in my opinion.

The commentators on HBO and especially Showtime piss all over anything we've got over here.

American commentators don't piss all over anything we have over here. The HBO team don't gel and the new blow byblow person got it badly wrong on the Campbell-Funeka fight, constantly referring to a KD that never happened. No one corrected him.

Sky have gone downhill because they have to make FW mismatches seem OK. Sky usually give the best presentation, but the shows are so poor that there's no point listening to them sum it up. Sky coverage used to be great.

For no holds barred, brutal honesty and the odd crazed rant, Setanta is getting good also.


That deep voiced Showtime guy - someone Albert - used to really piss me off. Every slugfest it's like "oooh, rock 'em sock'em robots!"

Showtime is indeed very good, but HBO is just analysis for dummies when they don't have somebody like Steward to keep the others in check but even then you still have to listen to their fanboys wanking themselves stupid in the background. Give me Ian Darke and Jim Watt anyday.

Unlike everyone else it seems I find him extremely irritating and avoid ever having to listen to him. I made it about half way through that clip though and i'd like to know if he that always that whiney & negative and is that the secret to his popularity?

I didn't included the clip because HBO would have taken the video down within hours.

I'm sure that the guy loves his old mum but that interview was rubbish - as a journalist I'm telling you that was rubbish. That's all I said - I love some of the American broadcast team like Steve Farhood and Wally Matthews - proper, old-school journalists.

I'm sick of hearing the shite that people like McGuigan spout.

He's always been fairly clueless but i used to like Kellerman's enthusiasm back in his ESPN days, but he's increasingly big-headed and wise after the fact now he's made it onto HBO. He shamelessly cheerleads for certain fighters and his announcing style is pompous and irritating.
