It's at a decent time! I hadn't even thought about that.

“Very little needs to be agreed now as even the time of the fight will be done to suit European TV audiences and not the early hours of the morning to fit in with US TV schedules.”
If it is on great to see they have looked after us this side of the pond for once.

Wont be "us lot" they've looked after, it'd be down to german PPV / TV audiences rather than us lot in the UK.
Still, if it goes ahead at a decent hour, bonus.

It's sounding promising again, but I ain't getting too excited yet seeing as we've been at this stage of the proceedings before with this and the Froch-Taylor fight

I just dont get this argument, do a disproportionally large number of Boxrec posters (and on other boards) not have passports or something?
If not then there is a mis-conception of how much it costs to travel to Germany. Very, very often you can get return flights for £20-£50 all in. if travelling alone the public transport is mint, and if in a group the car hire is cheap and the roads mustard.
Hotels are reasonable, and the "clubs" are a delight
Seriously, if this were being held at the O2 and you werent from London, it would more expensive than travelling to Berlin.

Quite right, and Berlin is one of the greatest cities in the world.

I'll go to Berlin any day, what a great city, and cheap too compared to London. The arena is right near where all the best nightlife is as well.

Agreed, pisses all over london in my opinion - and I'm a londoner.

Berlin is a great city - I'll be going if it's there. Wanted to go back to Berlin this summer anyway.

What's the best airline to use? Could even do a Germany boxrec meet in a bar somewhere?

Never fancied Germany, but I'll go anyway. Has to be the O2 now, surely.

It's nothing like you would imagine. Berlin is an amazingly cool city. All of the ridiculous stereotypes about German's are really laughable. People in Berlin are very laid back, love getting cained, and have a bohemian and cosmopolitan society, oh and it's about half the price of living in London.
You can get a luxury Penthouse flat in the centre of Berlin for about 1300 euros a month!

Roomie?
I think it stems from my wish in school to learn Spanish instead of German. Never took to the language. Too gutteral.
However, most people think it's great so they must be right.

Let's not get too carried away here people. Remember this is how far we got last time when the fight was "almost a done deal" for the UK! I'll be waiting for confirmation before I start celebrating, although its great that its now rumoured to be close again instead of off the table completely.

You can fly from Stanted to Berlins second airport Schonefield for £48 return including taxes with Ryanair. That airport has a train station that runs straight into the centre of the city that takes 28 mins.
I cannot wait for this to get confirmed. Even if it doesnt, I might just go out there and have a piss-up!

I got flights early doors for the recent England game out there for just under £60 return, which is unheard of seeing as it was an England game(price usually trebles within a minute of the game being announced)
I might book flights and even if the fight don't take place take your advice!

The main train station which you go to from Schonfeld is right next to the venue
