itv 4 are also showing Big Fight Greatest Knockouts at 8.15 tonight , just after the reg programme. has the greatest knockouts been on before or has anyone seen it before? should be well worth a watch as well as the reg programme.

the reg programme is repeated sunday at 12.40pm for anyone who cannot watch it saturday night.

plenty of good stuff to enjoy watching again in both programmes.

Low-lights for me included the inept white haired old fecker that refereed Ali versus Blinn. Counted to ten stood over a prone fighter then basically did feck all and the guy, just getting to his feet was about to fight on only to be rescued by the crowd who invaded the ring while the inept old feck just stood there. I have seen some seriously bad German reffing good to see it's not a new thing.
Joe Cortez doing his best to allow Mike Tyson to just about kill Larry Holmes. Holmes threw approximately zero punches for the last 2 minutes, just soaked up bombs went over 2 or 3 times. Good one ref

Particularly impressed with that beauty left that Brad Pryce done Conception with, had not really seen that properly. Really looking forward to watching him and Hall next week for the C'wealth.

i know the fight fight reg commentated on for sky was holyfield v tyson 1. can anyone remember did he commentate on any other big fights for sky? i went through a period of not having sky during 1997. i cant remember reg commentating on too many fights for them.

He did a few UK legs of PPV's back in that day.

Really good programme some good fights the kos were not bad either

There was even more than met the eye to Reg Gutteridge. I had no idea it was Reg who tipped off Terry Lawless about Jim Watt. Seems he had an influence on allegedly and probably many others.
