Vince Cervi was shot dead after an argument with a man (known to him) outside his house in Melbourne last night

Iwas only reading about it this afternoon and took more interest than usual because I live next door to Preston. Vince Cervi He did ok as a young HW all those years ago then seemed to just disappear. Wonder what the shooting was about

According to "The Age" the suspect is David Curran, a boxing trainer that Vince Cervi had evicted from the property where the shooting happened. Would that be Dave Curran, the Victorian welterweight who was briefly active around 1980?

Heard about this yesterday. Didn't realise who it was. Sad across the board.
