i fancy going the fight on friday but none of my mates fancy it ,i got a mate who goes the big ones if he recognises the name ie froch but would you go a show on your own?

no id need at least 1 mate

I went to Froch vs Pascal by myself, which was the first time I'd done it, and was so glad I made the effort. Lads sitting either side of me turned out to be quality so was able to have good banter within minutes of breaking the ice and I definitely wouldn't hesitate to do it again after that experience.

I went from leeds to belfast on my own once. if you want to see it, go.

A big enough fight, definately... but I've enough mates interested in boxing it's never been an issue, even for smaller hall shows.

Like someone just said, even if you go on your own, you're likely to get a bit of banter with other people there..

I went to all the Scott Dann headlined shows on my own, none of my mates being interested enough to pay £25-£100 to see that level of boxing. It's alright, there's generally someone around you'll get chatting to.

Deffo mate, go and have a good time mate. I live in Manchester and most of my mates are from down south so I would and have gome to the big shows on my own.

I would take my girlfriend , if i could get one :P

I go to shows on my own and sometimes hope i am the only photographer there

I normally go to shows on my own, but then I am filming them anyway, the last fight I was not filming, was haye v macc at o2, I took my eldest daughter, she loved it, but its a busmans holiday 4 me, ohh and another 1 was hatton in manchester, her and my g/f, sat them ringside,

Yes,defo,i went to vegas on my own 3 times and would do it again,i had the yanks buying me the beer in Caesars Palace. :P

Yeah, go. You'll miss out on too much if you wait around for other people.

Sometimes I prefer to go on my own, especially a small fight as I find I can really concentrate on the boxing.

I've been on my own a couple of times, but prefer to go with others.

Living in Norway means any live fights end up costing a fortune with flights, hotel, tickets etc. None of the Ex-Pats over here are that into boxing, so I cannot convince them to cough up the readies for travelling to the UK to watch the events (this weekend being a perfect example)

I end up just getting a few of them round to watch it at my gaff on Sky/Setanta

Would love to go more often, but I don`t really like going alone, the whole airport, flight, train, hotel etc. Much better if someone is along for the ride, beers etc

I really want to go to the Froch fight, but again spending all that cash to go by myself is not really what I`m after.

I suppose it`s the price I have to pay for being married to a Norgie.

I've been to quite a few shows on my own, probably 2/3 of the shows I've been to, I'm not going to miss a good night's boxing just becauseI don't know anyone else going

TBH i don't know whay it would be a problem- other than you can get a bit bored on your own

I went to DLH-Hopkins on me own and since my wife said "no mas" after one measly show I have unashamedly gone to every one since on my own

I go to live shows on my own a lot, but like some company when watching it on the TV! TV boxing is better with friends- chat, bet etc.

I go to a good few shows on my one Ama and Pro, though I do know alot of the guys running shows and fighting etc so there is always someone to bump into. I pay for a cheap seat then stand at the back of the hall (I thik best view and no sore necks) then bump into someone and end up in their company for the evening.

Agree. Sometimes I'd rather go alone than with a clueless friend. I once got three gratis tickets for a fight so went with a guy who knew a little bit and a guy who knew nothing, whose level of input to fight-related conversation was limited to "hasn't he got pale legs". Seriously.
