Kirby is 5-2-1 - but Rogan is only 13-0 himself - from watching Kirby against Les Mason and his fights vs
Briggs and Leapai - I think he is as tough as Rogan to make a really good scrap of it though probably
Rogans extra pedigree means he could bang out a late stoppage win.

Kirby would beat Hopoate for the Australian title and then a fight vs Rogan next - if you could get the money together to host it down under - that would be a cracker!

NB: Please - references to Anthony Mundine are not allowed on this thread - no-one cares!

michael would beat rogan .he's a lot stronger with better combinations on the inside. he would just bash him around and quit him. rogans no flash boxer.

rogans not as good as you think he is on the inside because he has to hold on .

but if they got rogan out here michael would definitely love this fight and take the crown.

This is a brilliant idea.
Rogan is very marketable and funny which would help in hyping the fight either in the UK or Aus.
No quit in either of them and now both have major belts - OPBF and Commonwealth.

Great fight if it could be made.

michael kirby and alex leapai are already at shane cameron and kali meehans level . they would give david tua just as much trouble as shane will .maybe even more because they have better chins and combinations.

you are only looking at his record not his ability .watch his last fight when it goes on you tube and you will see he is not a big girl like matt skelton is. he will give rogan all sorts of trouble and he will be twice as fit.

besides martin rogan is not teaming with experience himself 3 of his last 5 fights have been 3 rounders .i will give him the fact he beat 40 something matt skelton and the ever disappointing audrey harrison .but he is no world beater by any stretch of the imagination.

Rogan fought in the televised 'prizefighter' tourney where he fought 3 opponents in the same night.

I think Kirby and Rogan are similar styles and have similar pro experience - it would make a cracking fight - the last Aussie to fight for the Commonwealth title was Dean Waters - I remember watching on the telly as Horace Notice biffed him about.

i know rogan won't bully kirby around because kirby has never had his back on the ropes and never holds ,to much core strength look at his calfs he lifts up staircases for a living. thats why he's the iron rhino no backwards. just destroy.

Any fight with Rogan is going to be exciting but is Kirby not a bit of a risk to take he should fight big names cause hes no springchicken and losing to a relativally unknown would dent his reputation i really like Rogan he has so much guts and determination

rogan is at a high level now he has to fight good fighters to prepare him for a world title .he has done well , but if he has any doubts about beating kirby . he's just there for the money and will never reach his full potential or a world title.

I'll always remember Michael "Iron Rhino" Kirby for coming on here and calling David Haye a midget (Kirby and Haye are the same height) and stating that Haye will fail because he weighs as much as Kirby's leg (Kirby must be pretty fat).
