Apparently SKY have turned down Kell Brook v Mark Lloyd, so the fight might be off.

I can't see this one going ahead without TV

I have read that it is now Kell Brook vs Young Mutley.

Well done to Sky for rejecting a poor fight.

Cox v Lloyd makes loads more sense. Brook should be looking alot higher

Fancy Cox to tear him up to be honest - LLoyd is brave but will be there to be hit IMO.

Broadhurst is a cracking little fighter - he did really well to get the KO in his last match against the tough Ghanian.

If Brook leaves his chin up in the air as I have seen him do on occasions in the past, the Mutt will find it with his left hook..

yep, i agree with all who've said Lloyd shouldn't have got the shot at Brook. also that Cox should bust him up within 6-8

TT- by the way, i heard a little whisper that Mutt has sparred Brook and did pretty well. of all the many decent welters out there, Mutt may be the worst matchup for Brook, because of his power and his patience in waiting to land one when the time is right

Whats going on? Since when did Sky reject poor fights? I don't want to have to renew my subscription.

Maybe they can start putting other decent boxing on then I might re-join!

Broadhurst will be against an African but good for sky because Brook / Elwell was a farce of a fight and Brook / Mutley sounds like a great fight compared to Brook / Lloyd

As you say, Muttley is an extremely patient counter puncher. I think he is strong enough to survive the early Brook on slaught and if he can time the youngster when he lets his hands go, I certainly wouldnt put it passed the Black Country fighter to find the shots needed to beat this up start..

Mutley moved back up to Welterweight after he lost to Colin Lynes about 18 months ago.

Oh should be a good fight. I remember when Muttley fought Jennings I was rooting for him to win. Ive always been a fan of Muttley but this time I will be rooting for Kell 100% of course.

Brook Vs Mutley is a good fight. Brook is a class act and I'd fancy him to win it, but Mutley is a dangerous and established operator who could give Kels chin abit of a workout

looking forward to Brook v Mutley, love Kell think he's a fantastic boxer and even though Mutley has the experience, I think Kell will have a bit too much for him.

I don't think that kell does particularly leave his chin up in the air - he has been known to jump in in the past but not for some time now. He's patient and i expect kell to bust him up with the jab then stop him in the midr-ounds ... in terms of kell showing what he can do, he has only scratched the surface, trust me.

also, there's nothing wrong with his chin. far from it, actually - he is the full package.

really pleased with the mutt fight though - a real test against a proper decent puncher. can't wait.

Yeah, Brook V Mut is a much better fight.

If that goes ahead, nice one- I may well travel to it. I'd like to see Brook tested, he does look the business.

Actually it was SN Who didn't want Lloyd, and as Brook is injured this whole post is irelevant.

so why did The fight against Llloyd get announced on allegedly Tv then
and this is the 2nd time they tried to get him

Boxingchat is wrong there - SN did want Lloyd. I know this because Dean Powell phoned me up and persuaded me that it was a better match than i had previously thought.

Dean felt that Lloyd was a real tough guy who would extend Brook and be a very good test.

I'm sure Dean would confirm this because he was very passionate about his defence of this match.

Brook has been injured but is in full training now and definitely would have been fit for that date - April 24th.
