A number of people rank Mike Gibbons as the best p4p fighter to come out of Minnesota with his brother, Tommy, being no. 2 on the list.

Tommy Gibbons, Mike Gibbons, Mike O'Dowd, Del Flanagan, Glenn Flanagan, Jock Malone, Billy Miske and Jimmy Delaney were all born in St Paul.

One of the best fighters to come out of Minnesota was Jackie Graves, not a heavyweight though,
I seen Graves fight and beat all time great Manuel Ortiz live in the mid-1950s.
