Noel Thornberry, who had his first fight in 1984 and his last in 1990, is fighting Scott Gaby next month.

Is he nuts?

How old is Thornberry anyway? I can remember when his father Trevor was the next big thing in Australian boxing, then he lost a few fights, culminating in being crippled by journeyman Jackson McQuade.

Noel would be no more than 43 & is still a very fit man. Jamie had put on a bit of weight since his days in the ring, but is slow shedding it to 90kgs

After his fight with McQuade Thornberry was physically incapable of fighting or working again. I never said it was through anybody's fault, it was one of those unfortunate things that happen in a boxing ring.

Would it be unacceptable if I said Emile Griffith killed Benny Paret? It happened, folks. It is a hard game.
