Any decent ambitious World Class natural lightweight.
So we can see if he has really benefited from Roach and the Wild Card.
Amir is an on top fighter in my book, just like Enzo and a lot of Fwanks fighters.

JMM all the way, the times perfect for it, otherwise Barrera 2, but maybe not as it would pan out the same way minus the cut, or Casamayor

Isn't Prescott in a legal dispute with Warren? That would make it unlikely that he would be picked. It is ridiculous to suggest Marquez, because Marquez is talking about fighting Mayweather, not fighting some 22-year-old kid from England. It takes 2 to make a fight and he wold ask Warren for about £4 million.
After Barrera (he wouldn't be fit for June with that cut), he will have to go for a name - a Diaz, Katsidis, or perhaps Mezaache.

That would be the fight I'd want to see, I think if Khans defence looked tighter and having been court cold last time it would be more competitive and shut up a lot of the criticisms.

In turn, it takes 2 to make a fight and Marquez doesn't bring anything to make Mayweather interested. Pacquaio and Hatton both will be gunning for FMJ, so who's Marquez going to fight? Khan maybe his biggest money fight and if it appears easy pickings, then why not? It won't cost Warren $4m because I'm not sure Marquez has ever earned over $1m, so £750k of our British pounds could make the fight

I guess it will be a name to keep the ppv avenue open, unless they tag onto a big US bill.
Someone like Kastidis would be a good step in my view, but he's figting next month so that is unlikely.
Whoever it is, I doubt very much it will be a genuine lightweight.

I personally feel the Mezzache fight makes the most sense!! Or maybe Katsidis??

well, prescott would certainly test amirs new, improved defensive talents. i like the boy but its time for a real contest. barrera wasnt a real test. no point in a rematch there.

Gonna be a difficult one to book, but I'd suspect they go on the side of caution and book someone without a big punch who is naturally smaller than Khan.

Murry or Thaxton just to clean up the british seen but after beating MAB he will most likely say he has part them now

Mezaache is now rated No 11 by the WBC, so win over him would put him into WBC top 10 after vacant title is decided and give him a good title.
Katsidis is a bit too wild and unpredictable. You want someone Khan can box, not just go to war with.

michael katsidis.
an aussie around the time of the ashes cricket.
he's exciting.
fell a bit short against the best but didn't disgrace himself.
still got a decent rating.
he ticks the boxes.

Don't see him fighting Katsidis, as mentioned he is wild and unpredictable and he can bang as well. Khan v Mezzache or even Romanov would be a better bet. :geek2:

Katsidis would be perfect. Exciting, brave and a little bit dumb. Khan should run rings round him, providing he doesn't get touched on the chin.
Anyone else at a world-class level is a huge risk. Marquez would destroy Khan inside a round. I'd put money on it. No way does Khan avoid that astonishingly accurate counter right hand for one round, let alone the whole fight.

Alex Arthur / Nicky Cook - interim WBO lightweight title... I can see this happening.
DeMarco has a nice lofty ranking with the governing bodies.

I wouldnt mind seeing him in a warm up fight whist Barreras cut properly heals and then getting that rematch on. I know khan looked sharp and would have prob beaten Barrera but the fight would have been diffrent and not as easy had the cut not happened. Alot of the Americans wont give khan credit coz of this so it might shut them up a bit.
I dont see warren risking a rematch with Prescott just yet. After seeing Prescotts last fight i think Khan could def beat him if he dont get caught again. Khan has said himself that he dont want JMM yet anyway and wants a few more fights before reaching that level.
Katsidis is a good fighter and can be knocked out. He can punch though but if khan is gona step up he's gona have to fight big punchers. I heard warren say that they are aiming to fight Paulus Moses or Yuri Romanov for a title very soon.
