I'm amused by all this "build up" as it seems to imply that they might have a fight in the near future- something that simply won't happen. I think one will get a bad knockout and then be fed dodgy foreign opponents.

I can't see Price making it as a pro. His chin seems supsect to say the least and his head too small for a genuine heavy.

Fury has a much better chance, an hasmuch time to improve.

Fury's better than Price. I hate people who go on about Fury being overated and such, say that when he gets in with proper guys. Buy he looks very talented and he's fought much better journeymen in his first four fights than most fighters would.

Better what? Fighter or prospect?

Price is more experienced, better schooled and hits way harder than Fury does.
Price has been down whereas Fury hasn't but that might be down to the level the two fought at in the Amaterus. Price fought world class seniors, whereas the best fighter Fury ever fought was Price.
It's worth noting that Price gets up after he has been knocked down.

Far too early to say who will go further as pro.

Yes, he does have a very small head. Do you consider his small head a reason for his inability to take a big punch? It's an interesting theory. Some people have said Amir Khan long neck is reason for him having poor punch resistance. I saw Price first get floored in the Four Nation finals back in 2005, he was also floored three times in the Commonwealth Games semi-finals in 2006 against an Indian boxer. Then he was stopped by the Italian in the Olympic Games last year. It's a shame, because if he had a decent chin he could probably go all the way.

i think price is a worst prospect than fury, put price in with the 3 guys that fury has just fought...then we will have a bit more of a yardstick...

Price also got floored as I remeber in a four nations fight against a black welshman.

Well, I think there is no hard and fast rule - someone did point out (DG I think) that larry Holmes had a small head (although his actual jaw is big.)

It was this older guy who pointed it out to me - and I don't think it's the only factor - he said how heavies has to have that big boned, big headed physique to survive in the pro game. There may be something there.

I think like anything else, there is no single factor to taking a good punch but there are indications. Although Jake Lamotta did have a huge head!

True. But Price's head is still smaller than Fury's.
