Yes, I hope he is doing okay. Heard not good things.

Mark Breland doesn't look like a boxer does he, but he was a master boxer in his day.

Thanks for the pics, Ian, I cannot think of the '84 Games without a hint of scepticism as to the true worth of many of the American gold medallists. The Games were attended by only one Eatern Bloc nation (Romania), and the Cubans also failed to show, including the great Teofilo Stevenson who had absolutely smashed Biggs a little earlier (a fight I have on tape).
The Americans endured some stiff competition from the Koreans in the lighter weights but otherwise they were mostly able to waltz to their gold medals and, even then, they received some 'iffy' decisions. An Italian by the name of Angelo Musone was shamefully robbed against Henry Tillman in the heavyweight semis; Taylor looked a little lucky in the final against a Nigerian; Jerry Page never beat a Thai in the final; Paul Gonzalez was about to get knocked out by a Korean when his headguard came loose and he copped a time-out. Sung-Kil Moon showed what had to be done to beat an American when he stopped Robert Shannon at bantamweight.
Breland looked horrible in The Games.

If you scroll down, Stu, you get his entire record, and it's well worth a look.
