I am just reading between the lines. The Date, it would appear that Warren was trying to get it on a Saturday and sky have clamped their foot down and said Saturday boxing is PPV only.

I agree with Warren in that TV boxing should be on a Saturday, I am not taking any comfort in this news. So much more ratings potential on a Saturday night.

I think it is the Friday thing. If Rogan goes off at 10.15 as headliner then the Olympians will not be on live. I don't think that matters too much anyway at this stage of their career.

Yes, but Warren had arranged a date before a TV deal was sealed. Sky did it as a last minute job (it was announced untill a week before the fight that it would be on Sky). So they probably picked it up quite cheap.

By the original press realise, the impression I got was Warren prefered to have it on the Saturday - but now Sky with more time have said "Friday or look elsewhere".

Seems rather ambitious having it at the Odyssey Arena, they will do well to get it half full.

So why not just have it at a smaller venue?

Looks like the boxing in belfast will be moving back tot he Ulster Hall now. Ulster Seniors are back at the Ulster Hall after the refrub and Hayemaker show on 23rd April will be in the Ulster Halll too.

Warren has chosen a very big venue in the Oddessy Arena but he must be confident in being able to fill it at least 75% of its capacity.

I think the dates in the Oddessy will have come down to other concerts booked there (in advance of up to 12mnths) and also the Belfast Giants match schedule as well.

Yeah Metropol, I'm in Belfast. Rogan is BIG now. We had Rogan on a few of our small hall shows and back then no one really outside of boxing circles would have known of him. Now recently most people in Ireland have heard of him. An example would be my own mother who has no interest in boxing, a few weeks ago she asked me did I know him and could I get her an autograph for one of the kids she looks after in school. To be honest I'm surprised she even remembered his name as she forgets her own at times.

THe Odyessy with a boxing ring in the central areas and teired / VIP seating should hold about 7500-8000.

No idea as yet, I do know there was a mix up with ticketmaster and Warren had them "for sale" via hi web site but Ticket master had not been given the ok to sell them yet. I think they started going out on Friday there.
