Sid Razak

This Guy probably won't get many threads written about him, but in the last 3 weeks i've seen him take Davey Savage Jr. and Joe Murray the distance, in both fights he took hard punches and could of bailed out early on in the fights, but he didn't.
People ask why we have journeymen in boxing, and Sid Razak is one of the reasons, he takes his lumps and teaches the boxers something along the way.

Razak is one tough guy and he is defensively pretty cute.
Certainly he showed up some of Murray's limitations and the Olympian will have learnt a lot

He's better than his record suggests and gives a good account of himself over ten rounds too. Respect to this man

I don't know about that, Murray is very young and doesn't quite have the strength yet.
But he beat Razak well, and showed a good variety of punches.

Seconded. He could have quit with that cut as well but he toughed it out. The game wouldn't be the same without guys like Razak.

Sid sure is one tough cookie and has taken numerous fights on short notice. He is a credit to the sport and makes young prospects really earn their money whilst learning at the same time. Top lad

Yep nuff respect to the lad, good to see people showing some love to one of our journeymen, he's a decent fighter but has been matched very hard and just seems to not quite have the power/belief to truly beat any of these prospects.

I take Sid in and hes an absolute pleasure to work with he fights any one anywhere and always puts up a battle, hes known for not taking backward step.We know hes not gonna get much luck but all Sid is bothered about is that people know he comes to fight and is a tough fighter.
One little story to show you what the guys about. We were in norwich and Sid had come in at what they wanted him 9stone nine pounds. His opponent an unbeaten canadian came in at ten stone four.Half a stone over what he should myself and the board official didnt realy want Sid to fight but he just turned round and aid iv come to fight get me some extra money no problem.Sid went out there and pushed the kid back losing on points. This is lad whos a natural featherweight getting in withsome one close to welter. One of the toughest guys about and 36 years of age as well.
Iv told him about this thread and it has realy made his day thanks for the comments.

The first thing I noticed was that Stephen Smith was the first guy to get a TKO against him. Haven't seen Swifty yet though. Hopefully soon.

The only guy to get a tko realy the fight against scott quigg was an eye injury stopped in the corner by the ref.

It says on Boxrec that Razak retired, not that the ref retired him.

I was in the corner the ref came over checked it then he and Len Woodhall conferred and stopped it Sid wanted to carry on.The swelling literally shut his eyes in seconds from a good left hook at the end of the round.

Well you are in for a treat because we simply dont have another prospect like him with less than 15 fights and that includes all the middle, super middle and lhw who are getting a bit of press.

I would love to see Sid in against Josh Wale.

razak can really take a shot & too many at times, stephen smith really took him apart & looked classy doing so wasting little & looked composed in picking his shots, unlike a new pro going wild & getting over excited, showing maturity beyond his years.
i think razak has been unlucky on occasions,i think his record works against him which is a pity b'coz i guarantee he'll be about more seasons then these have a go pro's.
apart from the smith stoppage,i dont think the kid gets stopped.

I agree he deserves a few easier matches to get him a couple of wins as he seems to have some good skills.
