How Many 0's Had To Go?

Simply name your all-time favourite fighter, & the number of '0's they erased. You can also opine which was the most impressive '0' to have been erased.
For me...
George Foreman
0's Erased: 7
Lou Savarese (36-0-0), 1997
Crawford Grimsley (20-0-0), 1996
Michael Moorer (35-0-0), 1994
Jimmy Ellis (16-0-1), 1991
Dino Dennis (28-0-1), 1976
Joe Frazier (29-0-0), 1973
Charlie Boston (3-0-0), 1971
Thought it'd be higher than that. I'd say the Frazier fight is the best --- he's clearly the best unbeaten opponent, but Moorer was better than ever credited, & given Foreman's age & ring-wear, it runs a surprisingly close second to the Frazier demolition.

Kostya Tszyu
Larry LaCoursiere 16-0-1
Hugo Pineada 27-0-1
Jan Bergman 32-0
Oktay Urkal 28-0
Zab Judah 27-0
Of these, the Judah fight is the blue ribbon. Chicken Dance. :)

The way I remember that bout's lead-up, Judah was being favoured on the boards by about two-to-one. Tszyu had his backers, but Judah was considered pretty hot-shit at the time. He stunned Tszyu pretty good in the first round.

Yep, Judah was a hot ticket at the time. I believe he was hanging out with Tyson quite a bit at the time as well, which just furthered his hype. Tszyu had the second round won on the cards before the kncokdown though.

I have the fight on DVD. Tyson indeed enters the arena in Judah's entourage. They pan to him while Judah's going nuts, post-TKO, & he quietly says something to an on-looker. He looks pretty surprised. I'd say he was expecting Tszyu to fall, as were plenty of people.
One of those victories which becomes diminished with time, largely as a result of the loser's subsequent career.

Rocky Marciano...
Roland LaStarza, 37-0-0
Eddie Ross, 15-0-1
Bobby Quinn, 8-0-0
Jimmy Weeks, 0-0-0
Lee Epperson, 0-0-0
Only LaStarza stands out, though, the decision was disputed by some.

Julio Cesar Chavez was my favorite fighter next to Duran (of all time, not just HW's), so I thought it be interesting to compare the two men on this specific category:
Julio Cesar Chavez:
David Kamau, 26-0-0
Andy Holligan, 21-0-0
Marty Jakubowski, 37-0-0
Angel Hernandez, 37-0-2
Meldrick Taylor, 24-0-1
Alberto de las Mercedes Cortes, 44-0-0
Rodolfo Aguilar, 20-0-1
Then of course there were 14 others who were either 0-0-0 or 1-0-0. Total: 21
Roberto Duran:
Roni Martinez, 16-0-0
Sean Fitzgerald, 17-0-2
Davey Moore, 12-0-0
Ray Leonard, 27-0-0
Lou Bizzarro, 22-0-0
Then there was 11 others who were either 0-0-0, 1-0-0, or 2-0-0. Total: 16

Joe Frazier:
Muhammad Ali, 31-0-0
Buster Mathis, 23-0-0
Lennox Lewis:
Michael Grant, 31-0-0
Zeljko Mavrovic, 27-0-0
Henry Akinwande, 32-0-1
Gary Mason, 35-0-0
****************************************************
I often notice when going back further in time, the less and less you see undefeated guys facing off with other undefeated guys. It goes to the aged old question, were the guys then tougher cus they fought so often, or are today's men superior since their are more unbeaten fighters around today?
