This is going to be on at 4 in the morning though. Obviously, I hope it's shown, but with Froch not being a huge star, I can understand why there's not been a rush to acquire the rights.

Last snippet of info I read was Hennessey was trying to get SKY to take it as a PPV - Some people might not be so happy when they have to shell out £15 to watch the fight.

yeah especially as hatton v pacman is ppv the week after. i hope froch is not ppv. it might well come down to a choice between the two for alot of people if froch is ppv as well.

You are probably right - but this is just typical of Sky and Setanta to push to the last moment - offer a last minute thing when Hennessy will have to accept - it will happen I am sure but clearly Hennessy needs the media on side??

Did Taylor come over here for a press conference to generate any interest - I cant remember - if not - bad move by Hennessy!!!

Boxrec is now listing Paulie Malignagi and Dominick Guinn as fighting on this bill. Guinn's opponent is unbeaten but I don't recognise any of the names on his record

Yeah, and that's the problem: Too many people cry their eyes out when a big fight isn't on TV, but then moan and whinge when it's on PPV.

I would rather have the choice to see a great fight like this on PPV then not at all. If they can only make it economically viable on PPV, then it's better than no TV at all.
