There appears to be a plethera of new/young talent around at the moment, just starting out on their careers.

We have all the olympians, Groves, Fury, our own War machine, chisora and others. Would you say that over the past 40 years or so, that this is the most promising crop of fighters to come out of Britain?

When was the last time there was a whole bunch of prospects starting out at the same time? and what happened to them?

I would have though that only one or two will make it past European level at best, as that is the way these things usually pan out.

What do you think?

Out of those mentioned above I would have thought Frankie Gavin has the best chance to go past European level.

Smith looks good at the moment I agree, but that`s a tough division he is in especially when he steps out of domestic level.

Georgie Groves looks like he could go to Euro level at least, maybe better than that, assuming his chin's ok - which I hope it is, as with his style he could light up the game over here.

Needs to get rid of the Saint George nickname asap though, The Hammersmith Hammer will do for now.

Ye exciting times for British Boxing

Joe Murray and Tony Jeffries are definately going to be very good pro's if they keep their feet on the ground and stay focused. a great time for british boxing right now. Imagine if haye, hatton and froch all win...

I think the Question to be asked, is how much work it took to get where they are. whats been taken out to get where they are, whats left Emotionaly and Pyhsically. Who lives in a House like this

I'm really excited about Appleby-Lindsay that is a very good match up two unbeatens.

The winner could surely fight Oleg Yefimovych for the European title before the end of the year.

We have a good tradition with featherweights in this country over the last 15/20 years.

I think Bradley Saunders could still be the pick of the bunch. Fair enough he bombed in Beijing and has a few legal wrangles to sort out first but the kid can fight. Just hoping he gets the chance to show what he is really all about.
