Yep deffo confirmed - think this one could be a cracker. Only concern is there isn't a lot of strength in depth at cruiserweight - they'll probably have to bring someone like Dolan in.

Ian, you seen a lineup for it yet?

Hope Dunstan can pull it off and get himself in the mix for a title shot of some sort. At his best he'd easily win but at this stage its hard to tell.

Dunstan has power in spades or certainly had power in spades, and boxing ability. If he's anything like the fighter he was - then he should be favourite.

It would be an interesting Prize Fighter. While others have allowed new talent to step out - like Martin Murray and Ryan Brawley - this one could be notable for bringing back a blast from the past.

We've done well for cruisers in the past 10 or so years for excitement and fairly decorated fighters, so this could be one to watch. Hopefully, anyway.

Recently watched the long h/l of Thompson v Dunstan with commentary from a young Buncey. Great fight.

It is not going to be York Hall as they have an event on there that day and they wouldnt be able to get it ready for a TV show in time, 2 other venues have been looked at and I am expecting all involved will be told the new venue next week sometime.

It doesnt really matter where it is anyway as long as it is in London....

Hope it is not some lifeless leisure centre like the one in Dagenham

Cruiserweight might be largely irrelevant due to the financial lure of the 'blue riband' division, but it is worth noting that modern cruisers, with a weight limit of 200 lbs, are far closer in weight and size to the smaller exciting and brilliant heavyweights of the past.

In an era that sees the heavyweight division populated by huge, generally disappointing unfit giants I am looking forward to the cruiserweight tournament - we might actually see a few decent scraps amongst those involved!
