looking at the boxrec home page there are no british boxers as the number 1's in any of the weight divisions. sad but true. are we losing our grip on world boxing??

calzaghe has gone, hatton lies below pacman, witter has fallen, haye has changed weight divisions...... all looking a bit dire chaps !!!

Don't be so pesimistic! By June, after Froch, Haye and Hatton all win we'll have three number 1's. Then we've got the likes of Jamie Moore, Amir Khan, Kell Brook etc all slowly climbing the ladder. Others like Enzo Mac and Clinton Woods still on the fringes only one fight away from a title shot.

It's not beyond belief that we could have up to 6 or 7 genuine World champions (well, title holders) a year from now. Who knows, in 10 years we might all look back and think we never had it so good!
