Relating to the thread... I remember reading about this kid a while ago and the report was glowing. Only when I checked on Boxrec his actual record, did I realise quite how cynical a KO streak it was...

Record hunting indeed. Imagine any other boxer who had faught decent opponent and had that record, they would be facing international level and looking to pick up titles..

Brunson is the most successive 1st round KOs isnt he but wasnt the overall KO record from start of career held by a so so American heavyweight from the 1050s? His name escapes me.

That boxer from the 1050's your looking for is Sir Cuthbert Pendragon, he had a straight run of 'Knock Off Ye Head' record of 55 straight decapitations from 61 fights to the death (1 loss in his final fight that retired him).. He ended his career on 60(55)-0-1. He held High Jousting Lord of the Manor title from 1051 until 1067 when he suffered his first loss and funnily enough he was never seen in the court yard jousting ring again after that? Wonder where he went?

McClellan was a prolific KO artist - 29 (T)KOs out of 31 wins, 20 of which were in round one, 5 in round 2 - and all within 3 rounds (bar one fight).

Michael Moorer was an absolute beast when he started. He Ko'd all his opponents until he moved up to Heavyweight.

That Tyrone Brunson guy is abysmal. he was on a Darren Barker undercard last year and gassed after a round

Derek, the record is held by Fox (43). Boxrec only has 36 kayoes for Fox but he reeled off 43 kayoes from his debut. If you go to the 'All Time Lists Thread' on the BOTP forum it will give you the full picture.

Not sure about from debut as KO streak, could be that fella Fox. I do know the longest unbroken KO streak is Lamar Clark. 43 straight KO's having won on points in his debut then lost to Muhammad Ali I think

Nigel Benn had 22 fights, 22 wins, 22 Kayos.. :) all in 25 months..! Most in a round or two..! all on ITV or BBC1..!

Lamar Clark! - that was the fellar I was struggling to remember, although he fought a good bit more recently than 1050s

Mike Tyson had 19 fights and 19 ko's before he went the distance twice in a row

Clark won his debut on points.
