Boxing news report that Witer MAY be fighting Mbaye before he fightd Mccloskey for the European.

Wro ng fight for Witter, he can beat Mbaye but he needs exciting fights... Bad clash of styles makes for a UD for Junior but even I would not want to see that fight.

Witter should wait until the WBO is vacant and see what he can di.Brdley will drop the WBO fight Alaxander.

Witter can not seem to get a break..

It's a pointless fight..

Even if Mbaye had a high ranking it means nothng, Witter will be Mandatory for the WBC after Bradley Vs Alexander.

But can he wait around?

NO!

I heard rumours about a year ago that Witter was finding it hard to make 140lbs, and was heavily considering moving up.

What's changed?

it could've just been a rumour

That was Witter shoing he would step up to fight Cotto and Quintanta. They turned him down as did Berto.

Witter was the WBC Champ at the time and B-hop punked out.

Pathetic.

You say Witter doesn't get a break, breaks don't happen by luck or by magic, it is down to the promoter to create them

Wow, it's just amazing that Junior Witter, one of the lowest-profile world champions this country has produced, can't get a better fight, it surely is.

Nowt to do with ability. And I don't think promoters are too far in the wrong either. Junior just is what he is. Why should he expect a high-profile fight?

Thats what I mean, he does not get a break his promoter is not promoting him well, imo.

All this 'might be fighting' is nonsense....

Because he is a former undefeated British Commonwealth and European Champion.

Former WBC World Champion....

Ability has a lot to do with it, people do not want to lose to him - there are easier fights out there for everyone.

Hmmmm.

VACANT World Boxing Federation light welterweight title
VACANT BBBofC British light welterweight title
VACANT EBU (European) light welterweight title
VACANT WBC light welterweight title

Sorry to say this, DG, but if Hatton picked up so many vacant belts then you would be on his case no end. The fact remains, Hatton beat Tszyu in a fight that he was a 5/1 underdog. I think that win alone eclipses anything "The Bullshitter" ever did.

Go on, DG, fight the devil inside you and view my posts. It's not your nature not to have the last word, like the little bitch you really are. Do what we all expect, and wilt to my superiority, or do what's best for you, and piss off these forums you raunchy little ponce.

Mallinagi is fighting on the Froch v Taylor undercard.

I know it's a bit late now, but they should have put Witter on the Froch bill.

Malignaggi's on the bill and i'm certain he'd have took the fight if it was offered. This was a perfect chance to get a big name opponent, some good exposure in the US, and a win would have put his career right back on track.

A huge opportunity missed as far as i'm concerned.

If I was Hennessy Id be asking DiBella to find some American for Witter to keep busy against on the undercard of Froch v Taylor. Witter could then call Mallinagi out right there.

Yep agreed, Witter needs that sort of exposure if he's gona get one last chance at any belts, alas it doesnt seem likely. Silly really.

Mbaye lost to Gavin Rees who would get destroyed by Barnes, Lynes, Mc Closkey and Witter. This is a fight that shouldn't happen because it will be extremely one sided.

DiBella has put some card on, I wish we can see it over here because I want to see most of the Undercard fights.
