It looks like it

'British and Irish fight fans can breathe a sigh of relief with the news that Carl Froch’s World title super fight with Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor will be available to watch online on a pay per view basis at frochvtaylor.com.'

Will be disappointed if theres no tv coverage - watching streams isn't the best.

Froch V Taylor Super Fight Pay Per View at frochvtaylor.com
British and Irish fight fans can breathe a sigh of relief with the news that Carl Froch’s World title super fight with Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor will be available to watch online on a pay per view basis at frochvtaylor.com.

The “Continents Collide” clash between Britain’s only reigning World Champion and former undisputed Middleweight kingpin, Taylor takes place at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods Resort Casino in the U.S. on Saturday, April 25th with fight fans on this side of the Atlantic able to watch the broadcast live online from 2am on Sunday morning.

The pay per view costs just £9.95 (or €11.00 for Irish viewers) and will give fight fans to opportunity to see one of the most eagerly awaited World title fights of the year. Further details regarding order information will be available next week on frochvtaylor.com.

Froch says he’s thrilled that his fans won’t miss out on any of the action on what promises to be the biggest night of his career. “I’m delighted that my fans in the U.K and Ireland are going to get the opportunity to see my beating Taylor in style,” said Froch. “He says he’s going to teach me how to lose but I have a few lessons of my own in mind for him. It’s a huge fight for me and a chance to prove beyond doubt that I’m the best super middleweight on the planet.”

Like fornicate I'm paying for an ONLINE PPV. If my computer was quick enough I would just try to find a link to the millions of free streams out there

I think if i was on SKY PPV ifor £10 I would have just held my nose and pid for it, but I dont like boxing on the small screen, it's just wrong

Better than missing one of the best matches involving a Brit fighter for many a year. I'll go for it, plus I think Mick deserves a bit of support in his efforts to make some great fights.
Not his fault ITV and co are being such tight arses about it..

Makes me laugh getting credit fighting Taylor, it's a mandatory.

Taylor deserves the credit, he has put his fear to one side.

Well they obviously chased the fight didn't they, whereas Taylor seemed to be doing his very best to head in the other direction for a long time.

This will be a massive failure. Anyone who is staying up until 3am to watch the fight and be prepared to watch it on a stream will know exactly where to watch it fo free.

This is true, when I first saw the ad on the canvas I thought Mick was upping the stakes to get the tv channels to step up, but he's not going to be going back on this once it's up and running, and PPV means no TV here.
It's bad, our good friends at Setanta should have stepped in - our "boxing channel" not showing this is a bullet straight through the foot.

SOMEONE CLOSE TO HENNESSY SHOULD TELL THEM THAT MOST BOXING FANS WILL WATCH A FREE STREAM SO THEY SHOULD TAKE WHATEVER PRICE THE TV COMPANIES ARE OFFERING...

HE WILL NOT MAKE MUCH FROM THIS PPV...

Khan did less than 40K buys on PPV TV because 144K people were on a free stream that I saw!

So what chance this sells about 700 buys?

Hennessy, accept a low price if you have to - even £30K because you will not make £30K on this stream.

Surely Setanta would have been a better deal than this? Hope it's a good stream like the Secondout ones and not a shitty buffering every 5 seconds job.

i echo every negative comment made on this.

frigging joke.

despite the financially lean times were in.

can't believe nobody has stumped up for this.

taxi for hennessy if he even turned down a sub par offer. :shame:

exposure for his man is more important in the long run.

Well this is just the thing. I've been watching the Golf on the BBC website all weekend, great stream, excellent picture, even hooked it up to my big screen TV and the difference between that and the SKY digital reception was negligible, if they could guarantee a great stream like that then I'd be tempted.

What happens if Carl loses Mick and which other fighters you manage are fighting for World titles.

I dont know if Frank has the money/inclination to take on Froch but if he did Froch should jump ship

MH got him the WBC belt but has failed in his basic duty in PROMOTING a fighter

Say what you want about his matchmaking at times,. but does anyone doubt that allegedly would have built the guys name up to the extent that he would be ready to almost fill out the City Ground

I feel so bad for Froch. Hopefully this is just a dummy website to get Setanta to pull their finger out. If not, I'd be amazed if this did 1000 buys = £100,000. Surely they could get THAT much from a TV

I really hope theres a U-turn on this - I can see the PPV stream being a massive failure aswell. Maybe Hennessey is worried that if he accepts a low ball offer from ITV or Setanta then it sets a precident for future deals. I think in the long term Carl will suffer from the lack of exposure.

1000 buys only means £10,000 and then you have to bear in mind server costs and such,
DG. wrote:Khan did less than 40K buys on PPV TV because 144K people were on a free stream that I saw!
Bear in mind as well that
a) Khan was on primetime
b) People know who Khan is more than Froch
c) Khan was on TV not online
d) THe fight was on Sky, who advertised it with adverts, bits on Sky Sports News and bits on Friday Fight Night

I think we can say with an absolute degree of certainty that this is not going to get 10000 buys

Froch's basically gonna be fighting for free once you take away expenses and living costs for training camp.
