hi guys,

i am a university student from wrexham and was wondering if any of you would help me in answering a few questions. the questions are based on boxers social status and the perception of the public to boxing.

it would be most appriciate

the questions are;

1. Can you tell me about yourself and your boxing career?
• What age did you get into the sport
• Your experience in the ring
• How many bouts you’ve had
• Can you tell me a bit about your gym
• And any other additional information about you boxing career

2. What attracted you to the sport of boxing? Explain how you got involved in the sport and how you were introduced.

3. What do you feel attracts other people to the sport?

4. Describe how you feel boxing as a sport is being perceived in society through the eye of the public?

5. Do you feel this perception is an accurate one?

6. How do you feel the boxers backgrounds are being perceived by the public?
• Social class
• personalities
• etc

7. Do you feel this perception is an accurate one?

8. Describe the area which you are from?
• Is it working class, middle class, upper class

9. Is boxing popular in your area?

10. Describe what social class you would consider yourself, and why?
• Lower, Working class, middle class, upper class

11. Finally, explain what your personal opinion is about boxing.
• Do you agree with it?
• In comparison to the publics perception

I remember when you had to invent research for dissertations, these young uns have it so easy - bloody interweb.

My dissertation was something like:

Assess the impact of satellite television as an advertising media and the effects on terrestrial broadcasting and other advertising media

Wrote about 22,000 words on that and can barely remember the title. It seemed like a lot until I realised Terry Dooley did that many to set the scene for a Billy Graham piece but this was 1995.
