Don Jordan, former welterweight champion of the world, had one of the strangest careers in boxing. Jordan is chiefly remembered these days as the man who indirectly pulled the rug out from under Frankie Carbo. But his life, at times verging on black comedy, is a fascinating glimpse into a man whose talent as a prizefighter was equalled only by an outrageous flair for self-destruction. That Peter Heller interview was bizarre as hell. Never understood why the hell he would make stuff like that up.
