Bout Summary
A right hook staggered Despaigne near the end of Round 2 and a follow-up combo sent him down. He was able to make it to his feet and received a mandatory eight-count. By the end of Round 3, Despaigne was bleeding from cuts above both eyes. Sillakh managed range well and controlled much of the bout by keeping his opponent at a distance and landed consistently with jabs and straight right hands. Despaigne simply could not overcome the reach difference and had trouble cutting off the ring, getting inside and landing once he was able to get there. Sillakh was too fast and too slick defensively and limited Despaigne to relying on lunging punches that did not land.
