Bob Foster 170 lbs beat Henry Hank 174 lbs by UD in round 12 of 12

"Bob Foster built a reputation for a wicked right hand, but it was his left hand that defeated veteran Henry Hank tonight, which was billed as a light heavyweight elimination bout. Foster, with five inches in height and reach on the Detroit battler, began jabbing at Hank's face in the opening round. Hank's left eye began to swell at once and his left nostril was bleeding at the bell. Foster worked on Hank's eye with left jabs in the 2nd and 3rd without using his right. He uncorked a strong right to Hank's body in the 4th, but used the right only occasionally thereafter." -Associated Press

  • Unofficial AP scorecard - 9-2-1 Foster
  • Attendance (paid) - 7,805
