Diaz rallies to stay unbeaten; Marrero, Khytrov stop foes[1]

Unbeaten 2008 Olympic gold medalist Felix Diaz (16-0, 8 KOs) scored a good action ten round majority 
decision over Chicago fan favorite Adrian Granados (13-3-2, 9 KOs) on Thursday night at the Hard Rock
Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Diaz broke open a close fight with knockdowns in rounds nine and ten.
Scores were 94-94, 97-91, 98-91. With the win, Diaz claimed the vacant WBC FECARBOX jr welterweight title.
Former world featherweight title challenger Claudio Marrero (17-1, 13 KOs) overcame a sluggish start to
stop Ira Terry (26-13, 16 KOs) in round six. Body shots did the damage as Marrero dropped Terry, then got
the stoppage with his follow up barrage. Time was 1:51.
Unbeaten middleweight KO artist Ievgen Khytrov (7-0, 7 KOs) continued his reign of terror with a first
round KO of Louis Rose (11-2-1, 3 KOs). A right hand laid out Rose. Time was 2:35.
Unbeaten welterweight Samuel Figueroa (6-0, 4 KOs) crushed Malcolm Terry (6-5, 6 KOs) with three
knockdowns in round one. Waved off at 1:38.
