Lightweight Baha Laham (7-0 2KO) returned to the ring after a four year absence from the ring and showed little signs of ring rust as he posted a TKO victory over David Aucoin (2-4 1KO) of Hamilton Ontario at :39 of the 6th and final round. Reunited with his amateur trainer Russ Anber, Laham flattened his Ontario counterpart with a left hook to end the 5th. Coming right at the bell, the knockdown was not counted nor deemed illegal as a wobbly Auoin made his way back to his corner. Laham finished the job with authority in the 6th rocking Aucoin several times along the ropes before referee Steve St. Germain stepped in and halted the bout (Dave Spencer/FightNews Canada)

Laham was able to put a solid right hand to go with his already impressive left hook and Fleury paid the price as he walked straight into one early in the second round. It didn’t take long for the blood to cover the entire side of Tchikaya’s face while also staining Laham’s trunks, shoulder and chest, and though the blood was bothering Tchikaya, he continued to put forth his best effort. In the end, Laham won a 39-37, 39, 37, 40-36 decision to improve to 4-0 with one knockout while Tchikaya fell to 0-4-2 with no stoppages.
Laham was able to put a solid right hand to go with his already impressive left hook and Fleury paid the price as he walked straight into one early in the second round. Fleury would soon go down for good after absorbing a body shot that had him going down to one knee and vigorously shaking his head no when asked if he wanted to go on.

Baha Laham immigrated to Canada in 1986 with his family during the civil war in Lebanon,Beyrut.
He grew up in a lower class neighbourhood in Montreal (Canada) and was pushed in boxing by his dad at age 15 after coming from school with a couple black eye. Trained by Russ Amber with his older brother Hassan, the Laham's quickly established a domination in the canadian amateur ranks. Baha was four times golden gloves champion and two times Canadian gold medalist in 1999 and 2001 when he was awarded to be the most oustanding boxer. After failing to acheive his dream to participate in the 2004 olympic games, Baha left boxing aside to concentrate on his law school studies and get a certificate at the university of Quebec in Montreal. It took close to 3 years for Baha to miss boxing and finally decide to turn pro in the summer of 2006. With his dedication, his toughness and his boxing skills he convinced The INTERBOX promotions to sign him a contract after winning his 3 first bouts.
