&lt;div&gt;This is from a Boxing Program from Portland, Oregon titled &amp;quot;Fight Dope,&amp;quot; dated July 4, 1929-it was a match btween &amp;quot;Slapsie Maxie&#039; Rosenbloom and Joe Anderson. On the back is a short biography of Joe: from Covington, Kentucky. He first achieved national recognition in a fight at Portland, and had since become a Portland favorite-he even talked of settling out here after he retired. He had been married six years to a wife from Kentucky and they had a boy aged five. A light hearted fighter, he was quoted as saying &amp;quot;I&#039;ve seen too many punch-drunk boxers and I&#039;m not going to get in their class...&amp;quot; And he was a Clean Lad-no drinking or smoking and worked out constantly. But he lost the fight that night in 10 rounds...&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
