In spite of Reile sending the promotion company all of the information that they requested, they neglected to send this letter to Rubio. The company is owned by Menzer's manager. As a result of their failure to send the invitation letter, Reile had to hire another trainer two weeks before the fight.

During the first three rounds, Reile appeared to be winning the fight against Menzer with her hooks to the head and body.
