* A taller Johan Perez won a majority decision over an aging Paul Spadafora to win the WBA interim World Light Welterweight title at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack Resort. Perez, now 18-1-1, 12 knockouts, began scoring with his jab on Spadafora consistently form the middle rounds onward and clearly just won the bout. However, if one more round had turned for Spadafora on two of the the three scorecards, the bout would have been a draw.
