Missing his two front teeth, Johnson was carried to the ring in a coffin, and rose out wearing a black cape and smiling his 'Vampire Smile' at the fans.

3/6/81 Johnson was the first man to defeat future light-heavyweight champion [[Donny Lalonde]] in Winnipeg, Canada. Lalonde gained revenge in a return bout and stopped Johnson in the second round.

4/25/81 Johnson knocked out [[Dan Kiser]] in Sikeston, Missouri causing Kaiser's leg to be broken as he crashed to the canvas.

After he quit boxing, Johnson became a bus driver in his home town of Middletown, Ohio.

Born in Wausau, WI, Coolidge moved to Omaha and later to Minneapolis where he started boxing at the Police Athletic Gym at 25th and Cedar in South Minneapolis. Coolidge worked with pros Rick Folstad, Mike Gephart, along with Glenn and Mike Morgan.

Trained by Jim Morgan, Coolidge was a five time Minneapolis Golden Gloves champion.

Bob's brother Jerry Coolidge was a professional boxer as well.
