Round one Claiborne drops Greg Hatley with a crushing right hand. Hatley struggles to good feet finish the round. Rounds 2-4 were an all out war with Claiborne landing the heavier shots and controlling the rounds. Claiborne wins by split decision.

Claiborne came out very aggressive in round one, controlling Willie Williams against the ropes and hurting him with heavy right hands. Round two would have to go to Claiborne as he backed Williams up throughout the round. Round three was close while Claiborne appeared to be dehydrated and delirious between rounds three and four. Doctors inspect Claiborne to see if he's alert and able to continue. Round four was also all out action pack as a dehydrated Claiborne still came forward in spite of his physical condition. While there was no knockdowns and both fighters were on there feet fighting, doctors advised the referee to stop the bout quoting that Claiborne was physically not able to continue. This fight was ruled a TKO of the fourth round. Had Claiborne not been dehydrated, he may very well have KO'd Williams in this fight.

Claiborne came out very aggressive in round one, controlling Willie Williams against the ropes and hurrying him with heavy right hands. First round Claiborne comes out aggressive landing straight right power shots to Monaghan's head and body. Monaghan is on his heels for most of the first round. Second through third both fighters trade blows. Middle of round four both fighters trade shots but Monaghan lands cleaner punches. Both fighters are tradeing punches when Claiborne's corner stoped the fight. Claiborne was never down in this fight and did not seem to be hurt at the time of the stoppage.

Kentrell Claiborne began boxing at the age of 19 while in a Louisiana prison. After a successful start on the prison's boxing team, Kentrell continued to train while homeless in Dallas,TX. With only one amateur bout, and a ton of will and determination, he turned pro at the age of 26. Having a reputation to never surrender and fight to the death, he quickly earned the nickname "Beast" among his gym peers and boxing fans. He also has a reputation of upsetting highly acclaimed prospects with his boldness to face anyone in the ring. His most notable upset victories to date are former standout amateur stars Greg Hatley & Steve Geffrard of which was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions. He has been a chief sparring partner for world-class boxer James Kirkland.
