Boxer Frankie Maudlin was a young,hard-hitting hevyweight from Grant City, Missouri who fought in the late 40's and early 50's. Frankie had been a successful Golden Gloves fighter before turning pro. The great light heavyweight champion and boxing hall of famer Gus Lesnavich was Frankie's trainer. Frankie retired from the fight game after three bouts where he compiled a 1-1-1 record with a knockout. Frank, as he became known after his fight career, had a successful law enforcement career in the Kansas City area for many years. He was the Clay County, Missouri sheriff for a time. You can see a picture of Frank when he was a young fighter behind the bar at Chappell's Sports Bar &amp; Grill in North Kansas City, Missouri.</div>
