Welcome, Scapone. == Kenneth Kidd ==
Please provide some sources for your accusations against Kidd.--[[User:Matt Tegen|Matt Tegen]] 14:57, 9 August 2006 (CDT)

== Hometowns ==

You stated in the Sugar Ray Leonard's page that "It is irrelevant where he lives while he was fighting." Wrong. The BoxRec database of records is designed to designate what the boxer's hometown was at the time he was fighting. One purpose of that, among others, is to help identify and separate boxers of old with similar names but different hometowns. --[[User:Ric|Ric]] 21:45, 28 August 2006 (CDT)

Scapone, You wrote me: "Rick, but several boxers have thier hometownns listed as where they are living now. For instance Mike Tyson fought out of New York most of his career, and later lived in Las Vegas, but his record shows he lives now in Vegas. If your rules are different then you need to follow your own rules and change the hometowns of several other boxers. SCapone." That might be true about Tyson. But I usually don't handle the "modern" fighters, just the old-timers. --[[User:Ric|Ric]] 12:04, 29 August 2006 (CDT)

Then why did you interfere on the buisness of me and Matt about Sugar Ray if you "dont pay attention to modern fighters"

== Inserting Fight Code ==

Scapone, When creating a fight page, remember to add the [[Help:Contents|"fight code"]] at the very top. The fight code is the fight number (which you can see at the top of any fight page) contained within "fight" code tags, like this: <nowiki><fight>12345</fight></nowiki><br>

The fight code will automatically insert the names of the boxers, result, location, and date. You can then add other text and images. Try it in [[Fight:3521|this page]] you were just now working on. You can get other instructions and help [[Help:Contents|here]]. --[[User:Ric|Ric]] 12:06, 29 August 2006 (CDT)

Because I am an Administrator here, and monitor all changes to all pages. Lighten up! --[[User:Ric|Ric]] 20:20, 5 September 2006 (CDT)

== Bowe vs. Tubbs fight page ==

You insertion of "Controversial decision" (misspelled, by the way) didn't really add anything. Such statements need to be supported by facts and sources. --[[User:Ric|Ric]] 19:13, 13 October 2006 (CDT)--[[User:Ric|Ric]] 19:13, 13 October 2006 (CDT)

== Naming Images ==

Scapone, Please come up with something more appropriate and descriptive when naming your image files, rather than 0429Large. For example, one image you uploaded was an April 29 1991 ''Sports Illustrated'' cover. Perhaps something like SI29Apr1991. Just a friendly suggestion. You are creating some good pages otherwise. --[[User:Ric|Ric]] 13:25, 19 October 2006 (CDT)

Ok no problem, I didnt know you guys wanted us to name the images with relevant names. Thank you for the compliment ;) [[Scapone]]

== Message Signature ==

I've noticed you are unaware how to add your "signature" to the end of every message you write. When you are in an editing window, there is a row of icons/buttons immediately above the window that you use to create various things. From left to right, these buttons are: (create) bold font, italic font, internal link, external link, level 2 headline, embedded image, media link file, mathematical formula, "no wiki" text, '''signature''', and horizontal line. Click on the "signature" button to add your signature. --[[User:Ric|Ric]] 15:55, 19 October 2006 (CDT)

== Previewing Your Work First, Before Saving It ==

Also, you seem not to know how or when to use the "Show Preview" button at the bottom of every edit window. I see when you were trying to get an idea of how the newly-added image looked in the Tyson-Douglas fight page, you kept hitting the "Save page" button. Use the "show preview" button instead. This gives you a ''temporary'' views of what your edits will look like. (This temporary work is shown above the edit window, and you can continue to make adjustments and further edits, and click the "preview" button BELOW the edit window once again to view your second edits, and so on and so on, before ultimately saving your final edits. Then, once you are satisfied with all your edits and adjustments, click the "save page" button. That, as you know, ''permanently'' saves your work to the page. --[[User:Ric|Ric]] 18:08, 19 October 2006 (CDT)
Well, this guy john asked me to provide link on hurricane jackson, he died in 1982, but i do not want nor will i try to find it, especially if it's not a website, but I found out this...
Copyright New York Times Company Feb 15, 1982 Tommy (Hurricane) Jackson, the Rockaway Beach heavyweight who lost a bid for the world championship in 1957, died yesterday morning at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Queens. He was 50 years old.... It's a shame only some people can edit here, so many mistakes, including mike tyson's height and others.

>> Somebody sent me article from New York Times, his death year was 1982. How come we can not correct that? Can you do that?
