== Amateur Career ==&lt;br /&gt;

World Amateur Youth champion [[Timur Nergadze]] defeated [[Ricky Hatton]] in 1996 World Youth Championship semifinal. Hatton won on four of the five judges cards but one judge gave Nergadze 14 points.  The judge was later found to have accepted a bribe and disillusioned with the amateur governing bodies, Hatton turned professional, aged 18.&lt;br /&gt;

Nergadze turned pro in 2006. [[Timur Nergadze]] captured  vacant WBC CIS and Slovenian Boxing Bureau (CISBB) light middleweight title December 13, 2008 in Chelyabinsk, Russia WRTD6 over Akhmed Oligov and defended this title against Tursunbay Abdullakimov (WUD12), February 28, 2009 in Noginsk, Russia.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
