I have a copy of his Coast Guard record which clearly states he served at Normandy on D-Day. He was putting the British ashore .&lt;br /&gt;
In addition in an interview found on the November 1952 issue of Argosy Magazine written by Bill Heinz there is a photograph on my father aboard a&lt;br /&gt;
ship at Normandy when he was interviewed by Heinz. This is found on page 19. I am pretty sure he was at D-Day. I would recommend you remove the&lt;br /&gt;
word &amp;quot;reportedly&amp;quot; here and in the wikipedia entry .&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
