Pritja nga ushtria dhe presidenti i Kenias, vlerësimi i lartë nga mediat vendore dhe kthimi në Zvicër me brezin e kampionit të peshës cruiser të boksit profesionist të Afrikës Lindore dhe Qendrore (Sudan, Kenia, Uganda, Tanzania, Ruanda, Burundi) janë eksperiencat e boksierit shqiptar në tokën afrikane.
Boksieri shqiptar, Agron Xhila ka fituar titullin e tij të parë në boksin profesionist në kryeqytetin e Kenias në Nairobi, ku të shtunën në mbrëmje ka fituar në bazë të pikëve kundër 34 vjeçarit nga Uganda, Mustapha Noor. Boksieri nga Struga bëri të vetin titullin e peshës cruiser të boksit profesionist të Afrikës Lindore dhe Qendrore (Sudan, Kenia, Uganda, Tanzania, Ruanda, Burundi).

Duelin nga fillimi e ka kontrolluar shqiptari, ndërsa zhvillimi i tij në ring të hapur ka lodhur dy boksierët edhe për shkak të temperaturave të larta.

Sipas raportimeve të mediave, në duelin zhvilluar të shtunën në mbrëmje Xhila ishte dukshëm më i mirë në të katër rundet e para, ndërsa në atë të pestën dueli u ndërpre për shkak të një prerje mbi syrin e majtë, që shkaktoi gjakderdhje në gjithë fytyrën e struganit. Pas konsultimeve të mjekut dhe referit në ring, Billy Kiremi, duke u vendos të ndalet dhe fitorja në bazë të pikëve t’i takojë, Xhilës (50:45, 50:46, 50:44).

Rregullat në fuqi të Asociacionit afrikan të boksit profesionist, nën të cilin patronat është zhvilluar edhe ky duel, thonë se dueli për shkak të lëndimit duhet të ndërkrehet dhe fituesi shpallet në bazë të vlerësimeve deri në ndërprerje nga arbitrat. Pas kësaj Xhilës i është prezantuar brezi i kampionit të peshës cruiser.

Vet boksierit i ka mbetur pikë që dueli ishte përfunduar në mënyrë të tillë, pasi që mendon se ishte shumë më i mirë se ugandezi.

“Më vjen keq që dueli përfundoi kështu. Por, kur mjeku e ndërpret ndeshjen për shkak të lëndimit, atëherë duhet të respektosh vendimin. Shëndeti është përherë prioriteti ynë kryesor. Tani do të pushojë disa ditë në Zvicër, për të bërë edhe kontrollimet e nevojshme mjekësore nëse lëndimi është serioz apo duhet vetëm një qepje. Kundërshtari im, Mustapha Noor kishte kokën shumë të fortë dhe luftoi sikur një luan për jetën e tij. Unë jam i gëzuar që pas një kohe kaq të shkurtër në profesionizëm kam fituar titullin e parë të kampionit dhe atë të disa shteteve të huaja”, tha ai.

Xhila kishte udhëtuar drejt Kenias një javë më parë, për t’u aklimatizuar me kushtet e atjeshme.

“Xhila në aeroportin e Nairobit është marrë nga ushtria e Kenias dhe është akomoduar. Gabor Veto needed just 31 seconds to defeat Rajabu Maoja in the first round winning the vacant Central African & Eastern title in Nairobi, Kenya on October 2nd. Maoja was floored by a lightning-fast left-right combination after just a few seconds and the African fighter never recovered. Maoja rose but was unable to continue the fight against the undefeated Hungarian prospect. The referee Francis Orlando waved the contest off after just 31 seconds.

Veto, 21, the WBC Youth World lightweight champion, improves to 20 wins and 15 knockouts from 20 fights. "It was very explosive, it was just what we asked for," Varpalota's Veto informed K24 Sport. "We had too much dynamite for this guy. After the first shot I could see his legs buckling."

The 34-year-old Maoja came with a record of 16-7-3, 5 KOs into the fight and was expected to make a contest of it in Nairobi's slums of Kibera, Kenya. Maoja previously fought battles against one of the Philippine`s top contenders in Eric Canoy and former WBC World champion Veerapol Sahaprom from Thailand.

Veto started fast and jumped all over Maoja from the opening bell, sending Maoja to the canvas with devastating right hand. Maoja was unable to continue the fight. Kenyan referee Francisco Orlando stopped the contest, the African spectators celebrated the WBC no. 21 ranked lightweight Veto`s win.

Veto defeated Tanzanian Omari Ramadan in April and claimed the WBC Youth lightweight crown, he then stepped up in weight with an impressive victory on the Klitschko-Peter undercard over German's undefeaded Philipp Schuster in September. There are rumours of a match against a former World champion towards the end of the year.
